Our support services
Welfare Benefits Advice
Big Local Works are experts at benefits advice and information. We provide essential Welfare Benefits support & information and offer a confidential 121 service covering:
- Universal Credit
- Personal Independence Payments (PIP)
- ESA, DLA, Freedom Pass.
- We also attend Assessment Centres and Tribunal Hearings
Local Employment Support
Big Local Works offers support to residents in Southwark and Lambeth to gain employability skills and move closer to the workplace.
We offer training, 1-2-1 mentoring, job search support and also run regular skills workshops here, such as Confidence and Resilience, Effective Communication and Professionalism.
Enterprise support
Big Local Works supports local entrepreneurs (between 16-30 yrs old) to start a market stall at ‘The Blue Market’ in South Bermondsey. We do this in partnership with the local community and Southwark Council. If you want more information on the community-led regeneration of our local market, get in touch
