Our goal is to build local people’s economic resilience, reduce poverty and its effects, and support people to become more financially independent.

Our support services

Benefits and Welfare Advice

Big Local Works provides essential Benefits and Welfare support and information. We offer a confidential 121 service for support with:

Universal Credit, PIP, ESA, DLA, Freedom Pass. We also attend Assessment Centres and  Benefit Tribunal Hearings

We can also deliver ONLINE workshops and support for community groups.

Employability Training and job search support

Big Local Works delivers training courses, in partnership with the Bridge at Waterloo, to support local people develop key employment and employability skills and prepare for their next role.

Start-up support

Big Local Works is also an enterprise hub that supports local social entrepreneurs. We are now running ‘Make it Blue’ Start-up Markets and training programme at the Blue Market. We are supporting local residents with running a successful Market stall business.
