Our goal is to build local people’s economic resilience, reduce poverty and its effects and support people to become more financially independent.
We also work with people to have more say over changes in their community and be hopeful for the future

Community Organising – Made in Bermondsey
Over the past two years, BLW has worked with the local community to:
- Find and mobilise “people power” to make great things happen
- Make sure local people have more say over the changes in their local community
- Support residents to actively participate in the local economy which is rapidly shifting and threatens to exclude them
- Use their creativity and entrepreneurship to meet the challenges we face – as well as to showcase that creativity to the outside world.
- Ensure people feel proud of their local area, and hopeful for the future
