Our support services

Welfare Benefits Advice

Big Local Works are experts at benefits advice and information. We provide essential Welfare Benefits support & information and offer a confidential 121 service covering:

  • Universal Credit
  • Personal Independence Payments (PIP)
  • ESA, DLA, Freedom Pass.
  • We also attend Assessment Centres and Tribunal Hearings

Employability Skills and Job Search support

Big Local Works runs the Skills Bridge, an employment and life skills training programme to support local people develop key life skills and prepare for their next role.

We offer 1-2-1 mentoring, job search support and also run regular Life Skills workshops here, such as Confidence and Resilience, Effective Communication and Professionalism.

Enterprise support

 

Big Local Works now manages ‘The Blue Market’ here in South Bermondsey, for- and in partnership with the local community. So if you are a local entrepreneur, looking to start a market stall business, or want to trade here at the Blue, get in touch and join the people-powered regeneration of the local community market!
